I'm not normally keen on Mothering Sunday these days. I mean, I'm happy that it's a chance for other mothers, mums etc. to be spoilt, but my children are far away and there's no possibility of them spending the day with me.

Brancaster beach
What a superb walk we had today at Brancaster beach. Over a mile of sandy beach expanse, the sea gently rolling in.
There were a few people there, including a man walking his 14 week-old labrador puppy, Django, his Bearded Dragon on his shoulder. That's Norfolk!
